Message from Director

The Chinese title of this play, 10 Bearings and 1 Flash, is a term in Buddhism.

10 Bearings means everywhere and the whole world.
In ancient India, a location could be represented with 10 bearings, which are:
Front, back, left, right, right front, left front, right back, left back, up and down.

Flash refers to the flow of thought. 1 Flash means one idea as well as a moment.

To me, 10 Bearings and 1 Flash means:

A flash of inspiration comes with images from all directions.

Therefore, this is a story about creativity and artists

Things begin with a cause and live for a thought.
